Dolly Llama
A simple yet effective white and flash streamer originally designed for Alaskan Dolly Varden. The combination of rabbit strips and flash creates a big, flashy profile that works equally well for trout, bass, and steelhead in the lower 48.

Materials
3XL-4XL streamer hook (TMC 300), sizes 1/0-6
Large brass or tungsten conehead
White 3/0 (210 denier)
Lead wire wraps behind conehead
White rabbit zonker strip, 2-3 inches long
White rabbit zonker strip pulled forward as wing/body
White Flashabou or Angel Hair, generous amount
Pearl or holographic Flashabou, 10-12 strands per side
How to Tie the Dolly Llama

Step 1
Slide a large conehead onto the hook. Mount in vise and start thread behind conehead.
Use the largest conehead that fits the hook for maximum sink rate.

Step 2
Wrap 15-20 turns of lead wire behind the conehead. Secure with thread and build thread dam.

Step 3
At the hook bend, tie in a white rabbit zonker strip as the tail, extending 2-3 inches beyond the bend.

Step 4
Tie in a generous clump of white Flashabou or Angel Hair as an underwing at the tail tie-in point, extending to the tail tip.

Step 5
Add 10-12 strands of pearl Flashabou along each side as lateral flash.
Don't be shy with flash — this is meant to be a flashy, visible pattern.

Step 6
Pull the rabbit strip forward over the top of the shank and tie down behind the conehead.
Keep slight tension to create a smooth, even profile.

Trim excess strip, build a thread head behind conehead, whip finish, and apply head cement.
