Steve Farrar SF Blend, UV White
Steve Farrar SF Blend, UV Olive
Plummeting Tungsten Beads, 3/16 inch (4.6mm), gold (slim-keel system)
Polar Fiber Streamer Brush, white, 3 inch
How to Tie the FPV Minnow

Step 1
Secure the jig hook in the vise and start the white 210 denier thread.

Step 2
Create the slim-keel bead system by stringing tungsten beads on 30lb backing and securing them along the bottom of the shank for weight and stability.
The slim-keel bead system is what makes this fly track upright — take time to get it centered.

Step 3
Tie in the Shadow Fiber Blend at the rear of the hook as the tail, creating a natural baitfish taper.

Layer the UV White SF Blend along the belly of the fly, securing with thread wraps at intervals.

Layer the UV Olive SF Blend along the top/back of the fly to create a natural dark-over-light baitfish color scheme.

Tie in the white Polar Fiber Streamer Brush and wrap it forward to form a flexible, translucent head.

Shape the head by trimming excess material to a baitfish profile. Whip finish and apply head cement.

Use a comb to blend the fiber layers together for a seamless, lifelike profile.
