How to Tie the Full Pint Streamer

   Step 1

   Start with the rear hook (size 4). Tie in tan marabou as a flowing tail, about 1.5x the hook length.

   Step 2

   Dub a sparse body of Sulphur Orange Superfine dubbing. Palmer a natural mallard flank feather over the body. Whip finish rear hook.

   Step 3

   Thread the Beadalon wire through the rear hook eye, then through the red-orange acrylic bead, and attach to the front hook (size 2).

   Step 4

   On the front hook, slide on the copper cone and add 15 wraps of .025" lead wire behind it. Start white thread and secure everything.

   Step 5

   Dub a body of Sulphur Orange dubbing on the front hook. Palmer natural mallard flank feather over the lower body.

   Fold the mallard flank before palmering for a cleaner collar effect.

   Step 6

   Tie in and palmer a dyed wood duck mallard flank feather over the front portion for a two-tone effect.

   Step 7

   Build up a thread head behind the cone. Whip finish and apply head cement.

   Step 8

   Pick out dubbing fibers along the belly for added movement. Total fly length should be approximately 3.5 inches.
