Roza's Green Tag Jig
Roza's Green Tag Jig is a jig nymph designed by Lubos Roza in competition fishing and sold by Fulling Mill. The chartreuse floss tag gives the look of a caddis, which makes it useful in summer and late summer, and it also works year round as a general attractor. A black thread body with a silver wire rib, a medium dun CDC collar and a peacock black head finish it. It gives fish a bright green hot spot where pink, orange and red are the usual choices on Euro flies. Tied here on a size 16 hook.

Step 2
Start the black thread behind the bead and wrap a slim thread base back to the bend. Trim the tag end.
- 3
Step 3
Double a length of chartreuse floss into a loop and tie it in at the bend.
- 4
Step 4
Trim the floss to a short tag at the end of the body.
- 5
Step 5
Tie in the silver wire at the bend.
- 6
Step 6
Wrap the thread forward to the bead in smooth turns to form a slim black body.
- 7
Step 7
Wrap the wire forward in open turns. Tie it off behind the bead and trim the excess.
- 8
Step 8
Coat the body with a thin layer of clear UV resin and cure it with a UV light.
- 9
Step 9
Clamp a bunch of medium dun CDC fibers in a hair clip or CDC clamp and trim the butts.
- 10
Step 10
Set the CDC in a thread loop behind the bead and spin the loop into a rope.
- 11
Step 11
Wrap the rope as a short collar, stroking the fibers back as you go. Tie it off and trim the excess.
- 12
Step 12
Dub a little peacock black Ice Dub onto the thread and wrap a small head between the collar and the bead.
- 13
Step 13
Whip finish behind the bead and trim the thread.
