How to Tie the Unsinkabeetle 2.0

   Step 1

   Place the hook in the vise and start the thread, building a smooth base along the shank.

   Step 2

   Cut the 2mm tan body foam into a strip slightly wider than the hook gap. Cut a narrower strip of 1mm cocoa foam for the underbody.

   Step 3

   Tie in the cocoa underbody foam at the rear of the hook, then lay the tan body foam on top.

   Step 4

   Fold the body foam forward in segments, making thread wraps between each to create distinct body sections.

   Use firm thread wraps to compress the foam into tight segments.

   Step 5

   At the thorax area, tie in the white Ultra Dry Yarn as a visible wing/indicator on top.

   Step 6

   Tie in the yellow foam indicator on top of the wing for high visibility in varied light.

   Step 7

   Add Speckled Centipede Legs on each side of the thorax, two per side, for realistic movement.

   Step 8

   Dub a small thorax with Ultra Dry Dub around the leg tie-in area.

   Fold the remaining body foam forward over the thorax, tie down behind the eye, and trim.

    Whip finish behind the eye, trim excess materials, and apply a small drop of head cement to the thread wraps.
